Then cool down the drink, then add one and a half tablespoon of rock sugar to the milk. Drink this milk every night before going to bed for continuous 2-3 days. This remedy is one of the most popular turmeric homemade remedies, used not only in the treatment of a sore throat but also in all sorts of winter illnesses.

2. Turmeric tumors, rock salt and ajowan caraway for Tonsillitis.

Take turmeric tumors (tamped), rock salt, ajowan caraway in equal quantities of 6 grams each. Mix them all together. Boil this mixture in 500 ml of water, let it steep for 5 minutes. Strain the liquid. Gargle with the liquid for at least 2 times a day especially in the night just before going to sleep. You will see changes in just a week.

3. Turmeric powder, flour, and milk for oily skin problems

Take 60 gram or 16 spoonful of Gram flour, half a teaspoon of turmeric powder, mix the two well; add few drops of milk or water to form a thick paste and 8-10 drops of mustard oil, then mix all the ingredients well. Apply this pack on your face, neck, arms, hands, feet, knees, elbows and other parts of your body. Rub this pack off your skin when it begins to dry using your hands. The pack will come out with all the dirt from the skin. Then wash your body or take a shower with lukewarm water and pat dry yourself with a soft towel. It will make your skin clean, shiny, smooth as velvet, and soft as butter.

Ginger is a plant whose root which is commonly called as ginger. It is widely used as a spice or one of a traditional natural healthy root medicines. It is widely used in cooking and as a main ingredient in traditional medicines. Ginger also has a role in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.

Let’s discuss a couple of amazing healthy fresh and dry ginger home remedies for various health problems:

1. Ginger Juice with Honey for coughs

Mix fresh ginger juice and organic honey in equal quantities. Heat it a little and then, consume one tablespoon of it for at least 3-4 times a day. It treats a cough and removes phlegm from the body.

Make half of this dose for children. 2-3 doses in a day are sufficient for kids. Alternative: Peel off a piece of fresh ginger and put it in your mouth and keep sucking it like a toffee. It helps to remove phlegm from the chest.

2. Dry Ginger home remedies for soft tissue injury in chest

In case of a soft tissue injury in the chest, consume a mixture of dry ginger powder (1 gram) and black pepper powder (1 gram) with 5 grams of jaggery thrice a day for continuous 5-7 days. It would help you recover the injury faster than any other medicine.

3. Fresh Ginger for low appetite

Take 1 gram to 3 grams of fresh ginger, peel it off and grate it. Apply some rock salt on the piece of ginger and eat it just half an hour before your dinner. Do it continuously for 8 days. This will increase your appetite, improve digestion and will also treat gas troubles.


  • If you squeeze a few drops of lime juice on the piece of ginger, it works wonders.
  • Eating small pieces of fresh ginger treats severe and frequent hiccups.
  • For Herbal Tea- All we need is basil leaves, black pepper powder, dry ginger powder (1/4th tablespoon. Add all these ingredients to a cup of boiling water. Let it steep for a while. Afterwards, take it off the flame, cover it and keep it aside for few minutes. Then, strain the tea and add 100 ml of milk and two teaspoons of sugar to it. Drink it while it is hot. Thereafter, take 5-10 minutes of nap. This herbal tea treats headaches caused due to cold, common cold, bronchitis, common fever, malaria, indigestion etc. It also helps in removal of phlegm accumulated in the chest. Regular consumption of this tea keeps one away from all sorts of winter illnesses.


Fresh Ginger for warts

Take a small piece of fresh ginger, peel it off and create a sharp edge. Apply powdered limestone on the wart and then rub the piece of ginger over it.

The area will swell up in the first place but it will remove the wart from the skin without any surgery. It will leave no mark!


Dry ginger home remedies for Bronchitis

We need dry ginger powder, black pepper powder, and turmeric powder- Take 4 tablespoons of each ingredient and mix them all. Store it in a glass bottle. Consume 2 grams (approx. half a tablespoon) of the mixture with lukewarm water, at least twice a day.

Tip: This is not only beneficial in the treatment of bronchitis but also with coughs, joint pain, and backache. Consume the mixture for 3-7 days or as required. You can extend the treatment to another one week.
